Kristy is a native of Michigan; she completed her premedical training at Georgetown University in Washington DC in 1997.  She continued on to earn her veterinary degree from Michigan State University in 2001.  She then headed south for a small animal surgery and medicine rotating internship at Auburn University (War Eagle!).   It was at Auburn that Kristy completed a three year residency in Small Animal Surgery.  After passing boards in 2006, she spent three years as faculty at Oklahoma State University, teaching and practicing surgery.  Most recently Kristy has returned to Richmond with her husband Charlie, who is also a veterinarian and a Mechanicsville native.  Kristy enjoys orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.  During her spare time, Kristy loves to spend time with her husband and two children.   The Broaddus family also includes a coonhound, toy poodle and tabby cat.
